Key Responsibilities

• Proactively deter theft, fraud, and violations by maintaining a visible and professional presence throughout the store.
• Safely and legally detain individuals suspected of offenses, adhering strictly to company policies and legal requirements.
• Lead thorough investigations, collect and analyze evidence, and cooperate with law enforcement agencies as required.
• Work in partnership with store management to identify and address loss trends by implementing effective prevention tactics.
• Ensure adherence to company security standards, policies, and relevant provincial laws.
• Adapt quickly within a dynamic retail environment, managing a flexible schedule to meet operational needs.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Must hold a valid Provincial Security Guard License and possess a sound understanding of pertinent legislation including the Criminal Code of Canada and the Trespass to Property Act.
• Experienced with surveillance technologies such as CCTV and familiar with Microsoft Office tools including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Exhibit strong interpersonal skills characterized by approachability, confidence, and respectful communication.
• Demonstrate integrity, accountability, and proactive problem-solving abilities.
• Previous experience in high-volume retail spaces such as grocery or pharmacy settings is advantageous.
