Role Overview
The Assessment Quality Officer position is a full-time, fixed-term appointment for two years based in Wodonga. This role involves ensuring that assessment tools for accredited courses comply with regulatory and quality standards. You will work closely with educators to identify gaps, improve assessment methodologies, and develop compliant resources, playing a critical role in reducing compliance risks and supporting quality education delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialised administrative assistance for creating and managing compliant assessment materials, including document control and resource storage.
- Complete assessment quality duties punctually within established deadlines.
- Work collaboratively with educators to review and enhance assessment tools, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Utilise expert knowledge to improve assessment resources aligned with Registered Training Organisation (RTO) requirements.
- Offer specialised advice on assessment strategies, promoting best practices.
- Support decision-making in line with policy, escalating complex issues when necessary.
Candidate Profile
Essential qualifications include a relevant Diploma-level credential accompanied by appropriate experience or a combination of relevant qualifications and significant experience. Preferred attributes comprise:
- Proficiency with templates and advanced Microsoft Office applications.
- Possession of an Assessor Skill Set or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
- Experience with Training Packages and familiarity with vocational education assessment systems.
- Exposure to Learner Management System (LMS) platforms.
Additional Requirements
- Provision of a current National Police Check obtained within three months of employment commencement.
- Current Employee Working with Children Check or proof of application.
- Valid driver's licence where applicable.
Compensation and Term
Remuneration is between $72,252 and $78,449 per annum plus superannuation according to PACCT Level 4.1-4.3, Victorian TAFE PACCT Staff Agreement 2025. This fixed-term position includes two vacancies.
