Job description
Job Overview
The Assembly Technician is tasked with assembling, stamping, and testing Surface Safety Systems products in compliance with specified work orders.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure assembly and testing strictly align with work order specifications.
- Apply paint or coating to products as required.
- Conduct testing on parts and affix name plates or stamping appropriately.
- Detect and mark any non-conforming items clearly.
- Verify calibration accuracy and perform recalibration when needed.
- Operate various engraving machinery effectively.
- Maintain cleanliness and order at the workstation and equipment following company standards.
- Adhere to work order and process traveler instructions and document job details or time through the ERP system.
- Report any malfunctions in machines, cranes, and hoists promptly through maintenance logs and notify maintenance or supervisors about downtimes.
- Carry out processes and testing while strictly following safety protocols conscientiously.
- Assist with additional tasks as delegated by supervisors or lead hands.
Candidate Profile
- Possession of a high school diploma combined with mechanical aptitude is preferred.
- Previous experience in assembly, testing, and painting is advantageous.
- Skills in mechanical assembly or repair will be a plus.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical documents, and flowcharts is beneficial.
- Experience operating forklifts is favorable.
- Computer proficiency, particularly with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and familiarity with ERP systems, is advantageous.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety is essential.
- Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic and dedication.
- Good communication abilities, both written and verbal, coupled with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Self-driven with effective prioritization and multitasking capabilities in dynamic, team-based environments.
