Company Overview

Frencken Mechatronics specializes in designing and assembling industrial systems serving sectors such as semiconductors, healthcare, and analytical instruments. The company manufactures precision mechanical components, machine assemblies, and vacuum systems in both cleanroom and standard manufacturing environments. They supply high-quality precision parts and modules to key clients in high-technology industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out assembly operations involving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electro-mechanical modules.
  • Interpret and follow engineering drawings, bill of materials (BOMs), and work instructions accurately.
  • Perform tasks including fastening, alignment, cable routing, adhesive application, and torque tightening.
  • Utilize the proper tools, fixtures, and measuring instruments according to work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct in-process inspections to ensure build accuracy and craftsmanship quality.
  • Execute functional testing procedures based on instructions and SOPs.
  • Log test results meticulously using test sheets, Excel, SharePoint, or SAP systems.
  • Confirm that equipment fulfills acceptance standards before moving it to subsequent stages.
  • Assist with troubleshooting assembly or test failures collaboratively with Production Engineers.
  • Support rework, retesting, and validation activities as required.
  • Adhere to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards, lockout-tagout (LOTO) protocols, electrostatic discharge (ESD) rules, and implement 5S workplace organization principles.
  • Raise reports such as non-conformance (NCR) or defect notifications when necessary.
  • Maintain traceability and ensure documentation is accurate and intact.
  • Achieve daily production output and cycle-time objectives for assembly and testing operations.
  • Identify and communicate potential risks, bottlenecks, or material shortages to leads and engineering teams.
  • Engage actively in continuous improvement efforts including Lean, 5S, and Kaizen methodologies.
  • Validate parts against BOMs prior to assembly.
  • Handle materials, tools, and lifting equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Keep the workstation orderly, clean, and safe at all times.

Candidate Requirements

  • Educational background including NITEC, Higher NITEC, or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related disciplines.
  • Preferably a minimum of one year experience in assembling and/or testing equipment; however, fresh graduates with solid technical aptitude will be considered.
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding English work instructions.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Practical experience using hand tools, jigs, fixtures, torque devices, and measurement tools.
  • Strong attention to detail coupled with good problem-solving capabilities.
  • A safety-conscious mindset and adaptability to dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
