Assembly Technician

Job Overview

Maxine Automation is seeking a skilled ITI Fitter or Mechanical Assembly Technician to perform mechanical assembly tasks for industrial automation machinery and workstations. The role involves detailed mechanical assembly, fitting, drilling, tapping, alignment, and installation operations. Fabrication tasks will be handled externally.

Key Responsibilities

• Constructing machine frames, workstations, and mechanical frameworks.
• Assembling aluminium profile structures along with accessories.
• Executing drilling, tapping, reaming, and fundamental fitting tasks necessary during assembly.
• Performing precision marking and measurements prior to drilling and assembly operations.
• Installing mechanical parts such as brackets, hinges, slides, bearings, fasteners, supports, and covers.
• Carrying out alignment, leveling, positioning, and adjustments of components to ensure proper fit.
• Assembling fabricated components received from external suppliers.
• Verifying dimensional accuracy and fit of fabricated parts before final assembly.
• Providing support for machine installation and commissioning at client locations when called upon.
• Collaborating with electrical and automation teams during the assembly process to ensure integration.

Qualifications & Skills

• ITI certification in Fitter, Mechanical or related trade is required.
• Open to freshers or candidates with experience ranging from one to three years.
• Strong mechanical assembly and fitting skills.
• Experience with aluminium profile assembly is an added advantage.
• Ability to execute tasks accurately with proper attention to dimensions and alignment.
• Willingness and availability to travel to customer sites as needed.
