Job description

Role Overview

Allied Motion, a subsidiary of Allient Inc., is expanding and seeking motivated Assemblers to join the manufacturing team in Watertown, NY. This position supports the production and assembly of motion control products, motor components, and related systems. It offers a great chance for organized and driven individuals to contribute their skills within a respected manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate previously set up machines by loading and unloading parts to carry out fastening, force fitting, or light metal cutting tasks on an assembly line.
  • Visually inspect components and assemblies and use inspection tools as necessary to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Follow blueprints, job orders, operation method sheets (OMS), work instructions, and other guidelines to guarantee the correct materials and tools within specifications are applied.
  • Conduct cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy of materials in the work area.
  • Complete and maintain all required documentation associated with production and assembly tasks.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
  • Capability to read and interpret engineering drawings, route sheets, and job instructions.
  • Basic math proficiency and adeptness in using hand-held measuring devices such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Excellent manual dexterity to handle small components efficiently.
  • Experience with soldering, lead wiring, and forming is advantageous.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain standing for extended periods with occasional sitting and bending.
  • Occasional lifting of objects weighing between 10 to 30 pounds.
  • Continuous use of both hands performing repetitive motions.
