Job Purpose

The Assembler role is entry-level and involves performing repetitive assembly tasks to mass-produce products like doors, windows, trusses, panels, or stairs.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Assemble parts by positioning and fastening them together using bolts, clips, screws, or adhesives.
• Cut products to precise measurements as required.
• Identify and remove defective products from the production line.
• Operate and tend to machinery to perform force fitting and fastening operations.
• Move between workstations based on production demands and handle varying product models.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment, floors, and workspaces following safety protocols.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not include supervisory duties.

Minimum Qualifications

• No formal education or prior experience is required, although carpentry experience is advantageous.
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions and write basic correspondence.
• Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as proficiency in reading a tape measure.
• Capability to apply common sense to follow detailed but straightforward instructions and resolve issues involving a limited number of variables in routine situations.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Frequently standing for extended durations and using hands and arms for tasks such as handling, reaching, talking, and hearing.
• Regular walking, occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
• Regularly lifting and moving weights up to 25 pounds, frequently lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lifting up to 100 pounds.
• Requires specific vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, outside weather conditions including extreme heat and cold, risk of electrical shock, vibration, and loud noise levels.
• Mandatory use of personal protective equipment such as ear plugs and eye protection.
