Role Overview and Responsibilities
We are seeking an ASIC Verification Engineer with robust technical expertise, practical problem-solving ability, curiosity, and determination to contribute to complex projects. In this role, you will be integral to our design process, collaborating closely with architects, RTL designers, software engineers, and trading teams to translate demanding real-world needs into fully verified, dependable designs.
- Lead the verification process from initial planning to final sign-off, converting architectural and system requirements into comprehensive verification strategies, detailed test plans, and definable success criteria.
- Develop scalable and reusable verification environments including testbenches, reference models, stimulus, and scoreboards.
- Drive verification closure by leveraging coverage data, assertions, regression testing, and risk assessments to instill confidence in the design quality.
- Address complex hardware and software challenges collaboratively to isolate root causes, clarify ambiguous specifications, and resolve issues efficiently.
- Make thoughtful engineering trade-offs balancing verification depth, development effort, and delivery schedules to ensure high-quality silicon on the first attempt.
- Enhance productivity through automation, continuous integration, regression frameworks, and tool development resulting in faster, reliable, and maintainable verification.
- Contribute insights to architecture and design reviews from a verification perspective, influencing overall product quality.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in design verification, particularly on complex ASIC/SoC projects.
- Proven capability in formulating and executing verification plans, building verification environments, and achieving metric-driven sign-offs.
- Proficiency in programming and hardware description languages such as SystemVerilog and Python, with competence in C/C++.
- Strong grasp of digital design principles with the ability to analyze hardware behaviors, including corner cases and design compromises.
- Advanced debugging expertise spanning both hardware and software domains and a systematic mindset for diagnosing intricate failures.
- Ability to interpret evolving or high-level requirements into precise and testable specifications.
- Effective communication skills, reliability in meeting deliverables, collaborative spirit, and openness to constructive feedback.
- Academic background in electrical or electronic engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or closely related disciplines.
Preferred Additional Skills
- Experience with UVM, cocotb, or assertion-based verification methods.
- Familiarity with formal verification tools and methodologies.
- Experience developing ASIC tooling, verification infrastructure, or engineering workflow automation.
- Knowledge of processor architectures, assembly language, and embedded software development.
