Position Overview
We are collaborating with an innovative fintech startup based in London, seeking a highly skilled Artificial Intelligence Engineer to lead a critical challenge in modern software engineering: the integration and advancement of AI coding agents within the engineering lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and guide the deployment of AI coding agents and models.
- Develop and experiment with AI-powered developer tools hands-on.
- Design frameworks to incorporate agentic tooling across various stages of software development.
- Implement best practices aimed at enhancing developer productivity.
- Collaborate closely with senior engineering personnel to steer technical strategies.
Candidate Profile
- Possesses Staff or Principal-level technical expertise with a strong hands-on approach.
- Solid foundation in software engineering principles.
- Experienced in agentic coding, AI developer tools, or AI-assisted development methodologies.
- Relevant background in Developer Experience, Developer Productivity, or similar tooling domains.
- Able to mentor and influence seasoned engineers and establish technical standards.
- Experience in financial services is not mandatory.
Additional Information
This position is located in Central London and requires presence onsite four days per week. Ideal candidates may originate from AI developer tooling firms, developer experience teams, or engineering groups that have incorporated or assessed AI coding tools internally.
