Job description

Position Overview

Central Highlands Regional Council invites applications for the role of Area Support Officer at our Rolleston office. This full-time or part-time maximum term position extends until October 2027 and falls within the Corporate Services Directorate. The role offers a salary range equivalent to Stream A, Level 1.6 to 2, from $42.26 to $45.94 per hour inclusive of superannuation and locality allowance.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will perform various high-level administrative and customer-oriented functions to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the area office. This includes providing broad administrative support across multiple departments, managing community and staff housing coordination, supporting meetings, handling records management tasks, overseeing library services, and assisting with community service activities.

Candidate Profile

Applicants should demonstrate a strong dedication to customer service, effectively resolving general enquiries while managing heavy phone traffic. High organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently are key. The position requires holding at least a Queensland C Class Provisional Driver's Licence.
