Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit environmental performance reports monthly, half-yearly, and annually to the Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board as stipulated by Consent For Operation conditions.
- Ensure compliance by filing annual returns with the Department of Factories and meeting all statutory reporting deadlines.
- Manage permit-to-work authorizations, respond efficiently to legal notices, and maintain comprehensive regulatory documentation.
- Conduct job safety analyses, hazard identification, and risk assessments across departments to proactively reduce workplace hazards.
- Organize safety meetings, training workshops, and emergency mock drills to raise awareness of SHE guidelines among employees and contractors.
- Implement and update safe operating procedures, maintain the OSHA 18001 manual, and coordinate safety audits with internal and external stakeholders.
- Supervise wastewater and hazardous waste collection, treatment, and disposal, ensuring adherence to Zero Liquid Discharge standards.
- Monitor environmental factors including air quality, emissions, wastewater, noise, and soil, taking corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
Qualifications and Experience
- Graduation in Science (Chemistry), Chemical Engineering, Industrial Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related disciplines is mandatory.
- Possession of a recognized Diploma in Industrial Safety by State or Central Pollution Control Boards is required.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical, chemical, or manufacturing sectors.
Skills and Attributes
- Proficient in accident analysis, contractor safety management, emergency response planning, fire safety, and functional safety assessments.
- Strong safety monitoring, site inspection, and incident reporting capabilities.
- Experienced in accident prevention, root cause analysis, vendor management, and overall workplace safety enforcement.
- Regulatory focus with strict compliance adherence, meticulous attention to detail, and responsive to incidents and corrective actions.
