Position Summary

We are seeking an Architectural Cladder based in Edmonton to join our team. This position involves installing diverse architectural metal roofing systems and requires reporting to a Foreman or Superintendent.

Responsibilities

• Install metal roofing systems including standing seam and screw-fastened types.
• Apply air and vapor barriers such as peel-and-stick and torch-on membranes.
• Install roof insulation and retrofit roof and wall cladding assemblies.
• Repair, replace, and install standing seam metal roofs.
• Handle conventional metal roofing and liner installations.
• Fit sheet metal flashings and pre-insulated metal foam panels.
• Work with composite panels including aluminum composite, plate aluminum, fiber cement, and phenolic wood core materials.
• Operate hand and power tools for installation and repairs on metal roofs.
• Install specialized architectural roofing components like sunshades and louvers.
• Apply primers, sub-grits, flashing, and caulking for architectural products as needed.
• Keep the construction site clean and maintain daily logs of tasks and hazard assessments.
• Exemplify professionalism and respect aligning with Clark Builders’ policies and procedures.

Skills and Knowledge

• Understanding of building envelope and rainscreen systems.
• Meticulous attention to detail for high-quality cladding and roofing installation.
• Physical capacity to safely lift up to 50 lbs and sustain repetitive movements, bending, crouching, or kneeling for extended durations.
• Ability to endure working outdoors under various weather conditions.
• Capability to perform long hours and repetitive duties effectively.

Qualifications

• At least three years of proven experience installing architectural cladding products.
• Holding a valid first aid certificate is beneficial.
• Possession of ESC Fall Protection, CSTS 2020, and WHMIS 2015 certifications is considered an asset.
