We operate as part of the 10N Collective, which comprises 20 studios worldwide, offering rich opportunities to collaborate internationally and elevate project expertise.

Role Overview

We seek imaginative and skilled Architects who will contribute creatively to the design and execution of projects across varied sectors, scales, and geographic locations. You will manage specific design tasks or packages from early concept phases through technical development and construction. Responsibilities and autonomy will increase as you gain experience and confidence.

For newly qualified architects, prior professional experience at the architect level is not mandatory; guidance from senior colleagues and mentorship programs will support your growth with prospects to assume greater duties over time.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with multidisciplinary teams at every project milestone.
• Lead defined design assignments, ensuring deliverables meet schedules.
• Develop innovative design concepts and progress them through feasibility, detailed design, and finishing stages.
• Balance aesthetic ambitions with technical feasibility, construction practicality, cost, and time constraints.
• Produce detailed drawings, models, visualizations, and presentations for client review.
• Coordinate architectural designs alongside structural, MEP, and specialist consultants.
• Participate actively in meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors, fostering strong stakeholder relations.
• Support project brief creation, manage changes, and assist with statutory submissions.
• Review consultant and contractor documents to ensure coherent design integration.
• Adhere to project timelines, quality standards, and company protocols.
• Maintain thorough and accurate project documentation and data.
• Contribute to planning submissions, tender documents, and construction phase work.
• Attend site visits, support inspections, and assist with snagging as needed.
• Detect and report risks, problems, and possible scope changes promptly.
• Mentor junior staff and promote a collaborative office culture.
• Engage in mentoring, training, and continued professional development activities.
• Take responsibility for personal professional growth.
• Utilize 10 Design's CAD, BIM, and information management standards consistently.
• Support risk management, quality assurance, and audit processes.
• Comply with health, safety, CDM, and Building Safety regulations.
• Keep timesheets and expense reports accurate and up to date.

Qualifications and Experience

• UK ARB registration with RIBA Part III qualification or an equivalent international credential appropriate to the position.
• Experience contributing to architectural projects across various stages.
• Understanding of construction methods, materials, industry standards, and specifications.
• Familiarity with UK construction laws and practices, or corresponding regional equivalents, especially Middle East practices.
• Building detailed expertise in early design, detailed architectural design, or construction delivery phases.
• Exposure to UK or international projects is beneficial; Middle Eastern project experience is a plus.
• For complex projects or significant appointments, leadership experience handling substantial segments or teams is advantageous.

Software Skills

• Advanced user of Rhino, Revit, and AutoCAD.
• Proficient at an intermediate level in Adobe InDesign.
• Familiar with Adobe Photoshop and visualization tools such as Enscape.
• Competent with Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation.
• Capable of reviewing and correcting BIM and CAD work produced by others.
• Desirable skills include Grasshopper, Adobe Illustrator, and BIM coordination platforms.

Communication Skills

• Excellent English language skills for verbal and written reports.
• Ability to convey design concepts through sketches, diagrams, and illustrations.
• Competence in structuring and delivering compelling presentations.
• Sound professional judgment and awareness of knowledge limits, seeking assistance when necessary.
• Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and effective management of competing deadlines.
• A robust portfolio demonstrating creativity, technical know-how, and design communication.
