Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking an Applied Data Scientist / Analytics Engineer with 3 to 5 years of experience specializing in Data Science, Machine Learning, or Analytics. The position demands strong proficiency in Python and SQL to develop impactful data-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive exploratory data analysis on complex enterprise datasets.
- Design and develop business KPIs alongside analytical datasets to support organizational objectives.
- Engineer features effectively to enhance model accuracy and performance.
- Build advanced machine learning models such as anomaly detection, time series forecasting, risk scoring, and predictive analytics.
- Apply solid statistical knowledge to evaluate and validate the performance of models rigorously.
- Deploy machine learning models into production environments ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Utilize MLflow or equivalent tools to monitor and document experiment tracking.
- Develop analytical APIs to facilitate real-time model inference.
- Create insightful dashboards using Power BI or Tableau for data visualization and reporting.
- Monitor model health continuously to identify model drift and performance degradation.
- Handle unstructured, messy, incomplete, and very large datasets effectively.
- Collaborate closely with data engineers, machine learning leads, and business stakeholders to align analytical efforts with company goals.
- Translate complex model results into explanations easily understandable to non-technical audiences.
- Apply strong problem-solving abilities and root cause analysis to address data and modeling challenges.
- Use Git for version control to maintain codebase integrity.
- Familiarity with REST APIs is an advantage.
- Experience or interest in domains such as Power & Utilities, Smart Metering, SCADA/IoT, Banking Risk, Fraud Detection, Telecom, or Manufacturing is desirable but not mandatory.
- Commit to developing scalable, interpretable, and production-grade machine learning solutions.
