Applications Engineer

About the Role

Driven by significant business growth, a leading global company is seeking an Applications Engineer to join their team. This role demands in-depth technical expertise and hands-on experience with Carbide cutting tools to provide consultancy and guidance on optimal tooling practices and product choices.

Key Responsibilities

• Offer expert technical advice on cutting tool applications and industry best practices.
• Maintain communication channels by reporting the status of technical projects to sales teams and regional managers.
• Analyze tool wear mechanisms, proposing effective solutions to enhance tool longevity and efficiency.
• Work closely with colleagues to promptly address customer requests and specifications.
• Evaluate the correct usage of tooling and identify issues related to wear and application.
• Facilitate product training and provide directional support to teams and customers.

Candidate Profile

• Strong knowledge of Carbide cutting tools and associated best practice applications.
• Competent in interpreting and understanding technical specifications.
• Excellent communication skills—both oral and written.
• Capable of independently prioritizing tasks and solving technical problems.
• Preferably an experienced engineer with a background in automotive, aerospace, or oil & gas sectors.
