About the Role
We are seeking an Application Support Engineer to ensure the operational stability of non-production applications and environments in the Capital Markets sector. The position is based in Bangalore/Noida with a hybrid work model. The role involves managing Control-M scheduling, Linux shell scripting, batch jobs, SQL/database troubleshooting, application integration, and environment support, emphasizing expertise in Murex and Capital Markets applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, diagnose, and resolve issues related to Control-M scheduling and batch jobs across development, testing, and production setups.
- Manage deployment and administration of batch jobs, workflows, and automated scheduling systems.
- Create and maintain Linux shell scripts to support automation, data handling, and system administration tasks.
- Conduct database tasks, including executing SQL queries, optimizing queries, tuning database performance, and verifying data integrity.
- Resolve issues affecting batch processing, system integrations, and applications/environments.
- Deliver Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for batch failures and performance challenges.
- Collaborate closely with Development and Operations teams during investigation and resolution of incidents.
- Diagnose Control-M job dependencies, failures, logs, and promotion policies effectively.
Required Technical Skills
- Proficient hands-on experience with Control-M job scheduling and batch processing management.
- Expertise in Linux/Unix shell scripting, including the development of complex automation scripts.
- Strong working knowledge of SQL and relational database systems.
- Ability to write SQL queries, analyze performance, and troubleshoot database issues efficiently.
- Experience resolving problems with batch jobs, workflows, and system integrations.
- Practical exposure supporting Murex or related Capital Markets applications.
- Capability to provide L2/L3 level support for applications and environments.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
