Application Security Engineer

About the Role

We are searching for a seasoned Senior Security Engineer to support our content engineering team. This position involves research and development within DevSecOps, artificial intelligence, and cloud-native technologies. You will assist security professionals from various sectors, including Fortune 500 companies and defense organizations, by developing advanced, practical security content to enhance their skills.

Effective communication with diverse stakeholders and a methodical team-oriented approach are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist security professionals and developers throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), focusing on requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, integration, verification, and maintenance within the DevSecOps environment.
• Integrate security measures into CI/CD and DevOps pipelines to ensure secure deployments.
• Conduct offensive and defensive operations on AI models, inference endpoints, and MCP servers.
• Create new interactive lessons and educational content tailored for security upskilling.
• Develop tools to expedite and simplify the release of new learning materials.
• Maintain and update existing courses, lessons, and challenges to stay current with industry trends.
• Proactively identify opportunities to scale, streamline, and optimize business processes.
• Ensure all final outputs meet the organizational standards for quality.
• Provide support and guidance to professionals via support forums and be actively available to address their queries.
• Explore and incorporate cutting-edge technologies to craft realistic lab scenarios for learners.
• Establish and manage lab infrastructure that focuses on cultivating specific skill sets.
• Perform additional duties as necessary to support team objectives.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in application or product security roles.
• Strong enthusiasm for working with innovative product security technologies such as DevSecOps, AI, cloud-native solutions, and Zero Trust networks.
• Comprehensive understanding of core application security principles and security tools.
• Passion for advancing the state of Application Security and DevSecOps globally.
• Proficiency with scripting languages including Bash, Python, and Go.
• Capability to author detailed technical documentation and deliver effective presentations.
• Adaptability to a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment with a willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
• Self-motivated to work independently with limited supervision in a remote team setting.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
