Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Appian Developer specialized in UI and Data Fabric to design user interfaces and the data layer of Appian applications for a premier bank in Saudi Arabia. This role is based onsite in Riyadh and is available to candidates of all nationalities. The candidate will be responsible for delivering fast, responsive, and bilingual (Arabic/English) experiences on a secure and well-structured data foundation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop responsive user interfaces using SAIL framework, including sites, portals, and reusable UI components
• Create bilingual interfaces supporting Arabic (RTL) and English languages with appropriate translation configurations
• Design and implement record types, relationships, actions, and record-level security within the Appian Data Fabric
• Integrate diverse data sources such as core banking, CRM systems, and data warehouses through synchronized and asynchronous record types
• Build operational, managerial, and compliance dashboards and reports
• Optimize UI and query performance through techniques like local variables, pagination, synchronization strategies, and efficient querying
• Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG) and align UI with banking UX and branding guidelines
• Apply data masking and implement row-level security to protect customer information in accordance with Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL)

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Over 10 years of professional experience, including at least 6 years focused on Appian development
• Certified Senior Developer in Appian (mandatory)
• Available to join immediately or with a notice period of no more than one month

Essential Skills

• Advanced proficiency in SAIL, interface design patterns, and developing Appian Portals/Sites
• Expertise in Appian Data Fabric including record types, synchronization methods, relationships, custom fields, and security management
• Strong skills in data modeling and SQL including working with views, indexes, and stored procedures
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with UX/UI designers, with a keen eye for user experience
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication capabilities

Additional Desirable Skills

• Experience working with Appian AI functionalities including AI Skills, document extraction, and AI Copilot
• Familiarity with Appian component plug-ins developed using React and JavaScript
• Experience with Figma design tool
• Exposure to customer-facing portal development in the banking sector
