Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced API Automation Test Engineer with 2 to 10 years of proven software testing experience focused on API automation. The role is full-time and based in various cities including Bangalore, Pune, Chennai, Mumbai, and Hyderabad.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
- Design, develop, and execute automated tests for RESTful APIs using tools like Rest Assured, Postman, and Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Proficient programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript to enhance automation frameworks.
- Test and validate RESTful APIs, Web Services, and manage JSON and XML payloads efficiently.
- Utilize testing frameworks and build tools such as TestNG, JUnit, Maven, and Gradle along with version control systems like Git.
- Work with continuous integration and deployment tools including Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI for seamless automation pipelines.
- Participate actively in Agile development processes and comply with SDLC and STLC workflows.
- Conduct backend database testing through SQL queries and validation methodologies.
- Manage and log defects using tools like JIRA or Azure Boards.
- Understand API security and authentication methods including OAuth 2.0, JWT, and Basic Authentication.
- Perform comprehensive integration testing, regression testing, and testing of microservices architectures.
- Demonstrate strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.
