Role Summary
As an Animal Groomer at this clinic, you will perform expert grooming services for a variety of companion animals, emphasizing their comfort, cleanliness, and aesthetic appearance. Your daily duties will include bathing, drying, brushing, trimming coats, and maintaining nail care. You will also examine animals for skin problems, parasites, and other health signs, reporting your findings to the veterinary staff. Safe and gentle animal handling is essential, along with keeping the grooming space tidy and adhering strictly to hygiene and safety protocols. Interaction with clients to discuss grooming needs, manage bookings, and advise on pet care at home forms part of your role. This is a full-time position based onsite in Dubai.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven skills in animal handling and basic grooming techniques, capable of recognizing common health or behavioral issues.
- Strong commitment to animal welfare, prioritizing low-stress handling and humane treatment.
- Excellent communication skills to clearly explain grooming processes, advise owners, and cooperate with the veterinary team.
- Superior customer service abilities to address client needs, manage expectations, and maintain a positive clinic experience.
- Preferred previous experience working as an animal or pet groomer in veterinary clinics, grooming salons, or similar settings.
- Physical capability to stand for prolonged periods, safely lift and restrain animals, and operate grooming tools and devices.
- Basic understanding of breed-specific grooming standards; formal qualifications or grooming certification is advantageous.
- Dependability, attention to detail, and the ability to comply fully with clinic protocols, safety guidelines, and scheduling requirements.
