Job Overview

Join ByteDance as an Android Engineer Graduate focusing on Global Payment solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance client-side checkout systems addressing varying international payment regulations, diverse payment method integrations, and complex transactional scenarios to boost transaction reliability, user experience, and system robustness.
• Contribute to the growth of TikTok Pay by working on wallet account management, fund operations, local wallet partnerships, and maintaining payment compliance across numerous countries with the goal of evolving TikTok Pay into a prominent global financial platform.
• Drive improvements in client-side checkout architecture including dynamic content rendering, modular design, link decoupling, container management, performance tuning, and system reliability, to increase scalability and development efficiency.
• Engage in integrating AI capabilities within core client applications to enhance development workflows, enable AI-native commerce features, and advance intelligent payment and financial processing through decision-making, recommendation, and experience optimizations.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Information, Telecommunications, or related disciplines.
• Strong foundation in computer science basics such as data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and networking.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and dependable code with disciplined coding practices and eagerness to learn.
• Excellent analytical skills and self-drive, coupled with enthusiasm for understanding complex business workflows and technical challenges.
• Effective communication and teamwork capabilities to clearly articulate issues and project progress.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Familiarity with Java or Kotlin and a practical grasp of Android development frameworks, components, and lifecycle.
• Knowledge of Android system fundamentals like UI rendering, threading, network communication, and data storage methodologies.
• Interest or hands-on experience in cross-platform mobile development with Kotlin/Compose Multiplatform (KMP/CMP).
• Exposure or interest in AI-assisted development techniques including code generation, automated testing, knowledge base creation, and workflow automation.
• Experience through internships or projects related to large-scale internet platforms, financial transactions, e-commerce, payment processing, wallet services, risk management, or backend infrastructure.
