We are seeking an experienced Android developer with over 10 years of relevant experience to join our team on a contract basis at MPower Plus in the Greater Bristol Area, United Kingdom. The ideal candidate will have in-depth expertise in Kotlin and Java, with a strong grasp of Android development best practices.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Kotlin and Java programming languages.
- Utilize comprehensive understanding of Android SDK and Android UI design principles including established patterns and industry standards.
- Manage offline data storage strategies, threading, and optimize app performance for enhanced user experience.
- Leverage extensive familiarity with the open-source Android ecosystem, tapping into popular libraries for common functionalities, benchmarking, and optimization.
- Adhere to Google's Android design specifications and interface guidelines to ensure consistency and quality.
- Employ code version control tools proficiently, particularly Git.
- Apply SOLID design principles to ensure scalable and maintainable code architecture.
- Implement modern architectural patterns like MVVM and MVI, using Android Architecture Components and Jetpack libraries.
- Develop UI layouts utilizing Jetpack Compose framework.
- Contribute to a modularized codebase promoting separation of concerns and reusability.
- Perform UI testing to ensure interface reliability and performance.
