About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Android Engineer to develop mobile applications utilized by cardholders worldwide. This role demands strong technical expertise coupled with creativity, a passion for resolving complex challenges, and a focus on crafting an excellent user experience through elegant code.
The candidate will collaborate within a dynamic small-team setting, benefiting from the stability of association with a Fortune 100 company. Key duties include working alongside designers, product owners, QA, and fellow engineers to develop and enhance app features. Familiarity with contemporary Android software development practices and the ability to rapidly prototype and iterate in an ambiguous environment are essential.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
- Designing and building Android applications
- Writing, modifying, and deleting code as needed
- Utilizing build tools such as Gradle, GitHub Actions, and CircleCI
- Implementing continuous integration workflows
- Debugging and resolving software issues
- Using asynchronous programming techniques
- Conducting performance analysis and applying optimizations
- Maintaining and refactoring legacy codebases

Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related disciplines, or equivalent practical experience.
