About the Role
We seek a proficient Android Developer with practical experience in Java, XML, and REST API integration to develop, maintain, and enhance native Android apps. The role involves building responsive applications, integrating external APIs, resolving bugs, and ensuring secure and reliable mobile solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain native Android applications utilizing Java and XML.
- Create intuitive mobile interfaces and layouts via XML.
- Integrate RESTful APIs using Retrofit, Volley, or OkHttp libraries.
- Manage JSON responses, authenticate APIs, and handle errors efficiently.
- Incorporate payment gateways and other third-party service APIs.
- Implement features including user login, registration, dashboards, transaction history, and reporting.
- Troubleshoot application crashes, fix bugs, and enhance performance.
- Ensure secure communication via APIs and proper data management.
- Test apps across various Android devices and screen resolutions.
- Manage app updates and releases on Google Play Console.
- Collaborate with backend teams for API integration and problem-solving.
Required Technical Expertise
- Strong proficiency in Java for Android development.
- Good command over Android SDK and Android Studio environment.
- Experience in designing UI with XML layouts.
- Skilled in consuming REST APIs with Retrofit, Volley, or OkHttp.
- Knowledgeable in JSON parsing, HTTP request methods, and managing API errors.
- Understanding of Android Activity and Fragment lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with Git version control, application debugging, and testing practices.
- Knowledge of secure token storage methods and HTTPS protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in fintech or payment-related mobile applications and financial API integrations.
- Exposure to integrating biometric device SDKs.
- Experience with Firebase cloud messaging and crash reporting tools.
- Knowledge of deploying apps on Google Play Store.
Experience and Application
Applicants should have over 2 years of relevant Android development experience. Submission of updated resumes, portfolio, and links to previously developed or published Android applications is required.
Compensation
This full-time position offers a monthly salary ranging from INR 25000 to 65000.
