Role Overview

We are seeking a full-time analog layout engineer based in Bengaluru South to develop and optimize layouts for analog and mixed-signal circuits. This role involves ensuring layouts meet foundry rules, performance, and reliability requirements through floorplanning, device placement, critical path routing, parasitic extraction review, and closure of LVS and DRC checks. The role requires close interaction with circuit design, physical design, and verification teams to iterate and refine layout solutions and support tape-out schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and fine-tune analog and mixed-signal layout structures in advanced process nodes.
• Ensure adherence to foundry design requirements and optimize for area, noise, IR drop, and overall reliability.
• Perform floorplanning, device placement, and routing of critical analog signal paths.
• Review parasitic extraction results and close LVS and DRC issues effectively.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with design and verification teams for timely project delivery.
• Contribute to documentation, layout methodologies, and best practices for consistent quality.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 5 years of practical experience in analog and mixed-signal layout, especially with advanced semiconductor technologies (preferably 40nm or below).
• Expertise in device-level layout, floorplanning, and routing of complex analog blocks.
• Proficiency with industry-standard EDA tools such as Cadence Virtuoso and Mentor/Siemens Calibre or similar for layout creation and signoff.
• Strong understanding of foundry design rules, matching and ESD structures, noise management, IR drop considerations, and layout-driven reliability strategies.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, constraints, and technical documentation effectively.
• Familiarity with Page Layout and Graphics skills to enhance technical documentation and knowledge sharing internally.
• Basic awareness of graphic design and digital marketing concepts is a plus for internal documentation purposes.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, VLSI, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
