About the Role
dnata, a globally recognised leader in ground handling services, is inviting expressions of interest for the position of Ramp and Baggage Allocator within our team. The successful candidates will undergo comprehensive training to effectively perform the role while meeting defined goals and standards. This position involves working on a rotating schedule that covers all seven days of the week.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure aircraft resources while updating operational worksheets following airline Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and assigned tasks.
- Respond proactively to absenteeism such as sick leave or personal leave as instructed by SDS or SDM supervisors.
- Allocate available work shifts in a fair, transparent manner that complies with set budgets and financial guidelines.
- Manage shift swaps and ensure updates comply with standard operating procedures.
- Prepare meticulously completed worksheets and crew sheets for use by SDS/SDM during shifts.
- Engage willingly in training and adapt to new systems introduced in the business environment.
- Oversee the allocation of staff during service disruptions and flight delays.
- Maintain strict confidentiality concerning staff information and business matters.
Selection Criteria
- Strong customer service aptitude coupled with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting.
- Comprehensive understanding of the business, including its Service Level Agreements.
- Proficient computer skills, particularly in MS Word and Excel.
- Capability to work independently while following operational procedures.
- Capacity to perform accurately under pressure maintaining attention to detail.
- Consistent punctuality and dependable attendance.
- Understanding and adherence to aviation industry safety and security standards.
