Opportunity Overview
As an Allied Health Assistant at Plena Healthcare, you will support Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists by delivering high-quality clinical services to clients within Residential Aged Care settings. This role involves a blend of clinical and administrative responsibilities, ensuring comprehensive care and efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in providing physiotherapy services according to Plena Healthcare protocols and policies.
- Deliver care to Residential Aged Care (RAC) clients following the Allied Health Professionals’ treatment plans.
- Transport residents to therapy gym sessions and appointments under therapist supervision.
- Prepare and tidy the physiotherapy gym, including cleaning the space and equipment.
- Manage referrals and undertake administrative duties as directed by therapists.
- Order necessary prescribed equipment for clients.
- Facilitate exercise groups and therapy programs.
- Support initiatives aimed at meeting client and contract requirements.
- Collaborate with physiotherapists and occupational therapists regarding treatment plan adjustments based on client progress.
- Engage in mentoring, supervision, and performance appraisals per organizational policy.
