About the Role
Join Etihad Engineering as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician, where you will support safe and reliable flight operations through expert aircraft maintenance. Base Maintenance is fundamental to ensuring the safety, reliability, and operational excellence of our fleet. Our proficient maintenance team undertakes a variety of tasks that include scheduled inspections, defect correction, extensive repairs, and component replacements across modern aircraft fleets.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance activities aligned with company policies, regulatory standards, and best industry practices.
- Work closely under the supervision of a Licensed Aircraft Engineer to ensure the timely, safe, and efficient return of aircraft to service.
- Deliver prompt and cost-efficient solutions for scheduled checks, engine replacements, landing gear overhauls, unscheduled maintenance, and pre-service inspections.
- Maintain the highest standards by adhering to relevant technical documentation and staying updated on all Technical and Quality Notices as well as general and technical information.
- Ensure preparedness by arranging all necessary materials, tools, equipment, and documentation ahead of maintenance tasks to support on-time performance.
- Collaborate and consult with Licensed Aircraft Engineers to maintain comprehensive aircraft status awareness.
- Keep the working environment free from Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and ensure the maintenance bay is clean before and after work.
- Engage in continuous self-development to expand technical knowledge and advance career goals.
- Participate proactively in all health and safety initiatives within the workplace.
- Encourage a transparent reporting culture consistent with company values.
- Return all unused serviceable and unserviceable items to stores with accurate labeling.
- Ensure cleaning and proper return of all tools and equipment used, labeling defective items appropriately.
Qualifications and Experience
- High School leaving certificate or Diploma.
- Completion of an apprenticeship with an airline or approved organization, or equivalent formal technical training.
- A minimum of five years hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance, specifically in trades such as A & C, Avionics, Components, and Structure maintenance.
Minimum education
Diploma / ITI / Vocational
