Aircraft Mechanic - Structures (Workshops)

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Aircraft Mechanic specializing in Structures within our Workshops team, responsible for executing maintenance work on aircraft according to approved technical documents and strict quality and safety standards to uphold operational requirements and Qatar Airways' five-star cabin standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all maintenance and repair activities by strictly following Qatar Airways Technical Procedure Manuals (TPM) and maintenance documentation to ensure top-quality standards on all aircraft cabins.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain cockpit seats, furnishings, linings, panels, and crew seats effectively.
• Carry out maintenance and defect corrections on First, Business, and Economy class seats.
• Execute inspections and overhauls for lavatories, lavatory equipment, galleys, galley equipment, and inserts.
• Prepare, repair, and maintain carpets and vinyl flooring in the cabin areas.
• Conduct necessary cabin maintenance tasks as assigned by superiors while coordinating with cabin team members to meet Aircraft Maintenance Turn Around Time (TAT) requirements.
• Assist line and heavy maintenance teams in cabin maintenance after receiving instructions.
• Follow strict safety measures in line with approved documentation relevant to specific aircraft models.
• Ensure replacement parts and components are properly approved and suitable for the assigned aircraft type.

Qualifications & Skills

• High School, Vocational Qualification, Diploma, or equivalent with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of certifying experience in aircraft maintenance.
• Degree, diploma, or license in Aircraft Maintenance and a basic ICAO type license.
• Engineering diploma in Aviation is preferred.
• Proven skills in repairing machinery/systems using appropriate tools and determining required equipment.
• Ability to operate and control equipment or systems effectively.
• Competence in reading and interpreting technical documents associated with aircraft maintenance.
• Good understanding of cabin interior fundamentals and relevant skills fitting the job domain.
