Role Description

The Air Export Pricing Specialist position, based in Ahmedabad, is a full-time, on-site role focused on preparing precise and competitive air export freight quotes. Key responsibilities include analyzing airline tariffs, surcharges, and market developments while promptly addressing pricing inquiries from internal stakeholders and clients. The role demands close collaboration with sales, operations, and customer service teams to understand shipment details, optimize routing options, and ensure profitability without compromising service levels.

Daily tasks involve maintaining updated rate sheets, managing pricing databases, liaising with carriers and agents, and aiding in the creation of cost-effective export solutions. Additionally, the specialist will contribute to enhancing pricing processes, participate in internal training sessions on products and pricing tools, and uphold compliance with company policies governing export operations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with internal teams, carriers, and clients.
• Solid understanding of export procedures and freight forwarding, including air cargo pricing and airline rate frameworks.
• Ability to assist in training initiatives by sharing pricing best practices and helping onboard new team members.
• Strong numerical aptitude and proficiency in Excel to compare rates, compute profit margins, and manage pricing information accurately.
• Exceptional attention to detail coupled with organizational skills to juggle multiple quotations, adhere to deadlines, and keep records precise.
• A customer-oriented approach and problem-solving skills to craft efficient and dependable export pricing solutions.
• Previous experience in air freight forwarding, logistics, or export pricing is advantageous.
• Educational credentials such as a diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or related fields are preferred.
