AI/ML Researcher

Role Overview

We are seeking a full-time AI/ML Researcher to join our team remotely from Nigeria, dedicated to pushing forward the capabilities and alignment of AI models. This position demands a blend of scientific rigor and practical engineering, involving experimentation, publication, and guiding the research strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute experiments that enhance model performance and alignment
• Develop, train, and assess new model architectures and methodologies
• Create benchmarks and frameworks for thorough evaluation
• Produce clear documentation of research results via internal reports, academic papers, and presentations
• Work closely with engineering teams to translate research outcomes into production-ready solutions
• Contribute actively to shaping the long-term research roadmap

Qualifications and Skills

• A PhD in computer science, machine learning, or an equivalent area, or corresponding experience in industry-level research
• Extensive knowledge of contemporary deep learning technologies, especially transformers and large-scale model training
• Proficiency in PyTorch or similar frameworks
• A proven track record evident in publications, open-source projects, or delivered research-based products
• Exceptional ability in technical writing suitable for academic papers
• A natural curiosity and determination to tackle complex, uncertain problems
