Role Overview
The team you will join manages the entire verification lifecycle from conceptual system levels through to tape out and post-silicon support. Your responsibilities will include comprehensive pre-silicon test planning for digital power intellectual properties (IPs), developing testbenches using advanced verification methodologies such as SystemVerilog with UVM, creating coverage models, assertion models, and performing formal verification through property checking. You will also engage in power-aware Unified Power Format (UPF) verification processes and develop automation tools to enhance efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute thorough pre-silicon testing for digital power IPs.
- Develop testbenches using SystemVerilog UVM methodologies.
- Create and implement coverage and assertion models including formal verification techniques.
- Employ power-aware UPF verification flows.
- Develop automation scripts to optimize verification workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 2 years experience in ASIC design, verification, validation, or integration.
- Or a Master’s degree with at least 1 year relevant experience.
- Or PhD in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Over 6 years of practical experience with ASIC design and verification tools, techniques, and methodologies.
- Extensive knowledge in digital design and RTL languages such as SystemVerilog, Verilog, or VHDL.
- Strong foundation in computer architecture, object-oriented programming concepts, and proficient in C or C++ programming.
- Proven expertise in developing block-level testbench environments using SystemVerilog.
- Hands-on experience with verification methodologies like UVM or OVM and familiarity with assertion-based formal verification.
- Skillful in scripting and automation with Perl or Python.
- Knowledge of AMBA Bus protocols (AXI, AHB, APB) is a plus but not mandatory.
- Understanding or experience in assertion-based formal verification is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $108,000 to $158,000 per year. This is part of a broader compensation package which includes an annual discretionary bonus program and potential annual restricted stock unit (RSU) grants. Additionally, Qualcomm provides a competitive benefits package aimed at supporting employee success both professionally and personally.
