About WSCAD and Role Overview

WSCAD is pioneering the next generation of engineering software, moving beyond traditional CAD systems to develop AI-native engineering platforms. These systems leverage artificial intelligence as the fundamental layer orchestrating workflows from concept through installation, rather than simply adding AI features as an afterthought. We are seeking an AI Technology Lead to design and build this transformative platform that deeply integrates AI with engineering processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design of WSCAD’s AI core, embedding AI deeply as the operational layer rather than a supplementary service.
• Develop AI-driven engineering workflows encompassing reasoning, rule interpretation, validation, constraint solving, and optimization.
• Collaborate across product, platform, and electrical engineering teams to harmonize AI technologies with domain knowledge.
• Define and guide the technical vision for AI integration at WSCAD, mentoring team members and incorporating cutting-edge AI techniques that provide tangible engineering benefits.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven software engineering expertise with hands-on experience building production-level systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge in designing AI systems including areas like applied machine learning, AI systems engineering, constraint solving, symbolic/statistical AI, and knowledge representation.
• Strong architectural design skills for platforms where AI is a core element.
• Experience in managing data flows, model lifecycle, validation, explainability, and ensuring AI system reliability in real-world production environments.
• Capability to bridge disciplines and translate complex domain logic into robust software solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in engineering or industrial software such as CAD, CAE, PLM, automation, or digital twins.
• Familiarity with rule-based systems, engineering constraints, or working within safety-critical environments.
