AI Technical Lead

Position Overview

Fundamentl is looking to hire a highly experienced AI Technical Lead with over 15 years of expertise to spearhead the design and implementation of enterprise AI architecture. This role encompasses creating technology roadmaps and standards specifically focused on Generative AI, Agentic AI, large language models (LLMs), and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions. The lead will architect scalable, secure, and reusable AI platforms aligning with enterprise-wide architecture, data governance, and security mandates, all while advancing business transformation goals.

Key Duties

• Architect and develop scalable AI platforms, agent-based systems, and cloud-native AI integration patterns.
• Define and enforce architecture governance protocols, including technology evaluation criteria, security policies, and AI best practices.
• Collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams such as business units, engineering, data, security, and enterprise architecture to implement strategic AI initiatives.
• Oversee architecture reviews, conduct technical assessments, and ensure robust solution validation for AI projects organization-wide.

Technical Proficiencies

• Expertise in Generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, GraphRAG, Agentic AI, multi-agent systems, message-centric protocols, AI-to-AI communication, AI guardrails, and responsible AI principles.
• Proficient with AI frameworks including LangGraph, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, CrewAI, AutoGen, and Microsoft Agent Framework.
• Experience with cloud AI platforms such as Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Search, AWS Bedrock, OpenAI APIs, Gemini, and various open-source LLMs.
• Knowledgeable in vector databases and enterprise integrations incorporating Azure AI Search, Cosmos DB vector search, Pinecone, Qdrant, Weaviate, Neo4j, API-driven microservices, and event-driven architectures.
