AI Product Owner

Role Overview

We are seeking an AI Product Owner to lead a significant enterprise AI transformation at the largest bank in Saudi Arabia. This critical role involves managing six major AI transformation initiatives that develop autonomous AI systems on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead prioritization and ownership of delivery for multiple interconnected AI transformation workstreams.
• Convert the bank's strategic objectives into a clear, actionable, and prioritized product roadmap for engineering teams.
• Manage and prioritize product backlogs spanning several technical projects.
• Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders to define business outcomes, clarify requirements, and set priorities.
• Translate business needs into clear, executable requirements for AI, data, and engineering units.
• Coordinate with AI Engineers, Data Engineers, and Architects to plan and sequence technical deliveries effectively.
• Balance competing priorities by making informed trade-off decisions across workstreams.
• Identify and monitor dependencies across all six AI initiatives.
• Drive definition of requirements in scenarios where business problems or technical solutions are still developing.
• Maintain transparency on delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and blockers.
• Implement strong product and delivery governance for this complex multi-project program.
• Ensure technical developments remain focused on quantifiable business outcomes, preventing technology-driven divergence.
• Lead and facilitate workshops, planning meetings, and decision-making sessions with senior stakeholders.
• Operate confidently in ambiguous environments with evolving scopes, bringing clarity and structure to the delivery process.

Candidate Profile

• Extensive experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or transformation delivery lead in complex enterprise settings.
• Proven track record delivering AI, data, technology, or digital transformation initiatives.
• Strong technical understanding of agentic AI, large language model deployments, and modern AI system architectures.
• Capability to recognize and manage technical dependencies while sequencing AI and data delivery projects.
• Expertise in product backlog management, roadmap creation, and requirements specification.
• Experience collaborating with engineering, architecture, and data teams.
• Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders in large organizational contexts.
• Commercial awareness to manage and balance value, scope, complexity, and resource constraints.
• Experience overseeing multiple concurrent projects or workstreams.
• Confidence working in environments with incomplete, unclear, or rapidly changing requirements.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Desirable Qualifications

• Prior involvement in product ownership within AI or data transformation programs.
• Background in banking or financial services.
• Experience in regulated enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with enterprise AI governance and responsible AI practices.
• Exposure to managing governance in large-scale, multi-project programs.
• Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure or cloud-based AI implementations.
• Understanding of the Middle Eastern or Saudi Arabian market.

• This position is located onsite in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Travel to Riyadh for the project will be arranged.
• The company provides accommodation and agreed living expenses while in Riyadh.
• One return flight home per month is included and covered by the employer.
• A 10% bonus will be awarded upon successful completion of the project.
