About Airy
Airy is revolutionizing HR and payroll software by transforming it from traditional form-filling interfaces to conversational workflows. The vision is to empower HR managers to confirm payrolls via a single message in Workday and allow employees to view payslips on WhatsApp, with business users accessing Airy directly through AI assistants like ChatGPT. This system uses AI for comprehension and explanation, while deterministic engines ensure accurate computations without errors.
Role Overview
You will be the inaugural dedicated AI Product Manager, shaping and delivering a product that integrates Airy as a ChatGPT App / MCP connector for seamless interaction within AI assistant platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design conversational user experiences for HR-related scenarios such as payroll inquiries, leave requests, expense management, and onboarding on platforms including Lark, WhatsApp, and Telegram, determining when AI provides direct responses, escalates to humans, or displays structured information cards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and productize integrations like Lark Bot, WhatsApp Business API, and Telegram Bot, setting channel-specific functionality limits and development priorities.
- Maintain high product standards by creating realistic test scenarios covering multilingual inputs, challenging queries, and permission boundary tests; implement quality checkpoints before releases and conduct regression testing after updates to models or prompts.
- Work jointly on managing system prompts, defining tool usage policies, and ensuring safety guardrails in coordination with engineering teams.
Candidate Qualifications
- Possess an AI-first mindset, extensively utilizing AI tools and comprehending concepts such as ChatGPT Apps, MCP, function calling, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) sufficiently to engage in technical discussions; hands-on coding is not required.
- Have completed AI-related hands-on projects including coursework, personal initiatives, hackathons, or contributions to open-source projects, with tangible work samples provided for review.
- Adopt a design approach that includes continuous testing by creating prompts, conducting tests, and reproducing bugs.
- Fluent in both Mandarin and English, with cultural sensitivity to the multilingual and multicultural environment of Southeast Asia.
- Exhibit first-principles thinking by deriving solutions from user needs and constraints rather than following preset templates.
