About the Company
CFO Advisory and Accountancy (CFOAI) provides Virtual CFO services to small and medium enterprises in Qatar and across the GCC. Instead of charging for advice by the hour, they develop innovative technology that streamlines finance operations.
Role Overview
The AI Product Engineer will be responsible for creating AI-driven products from scratch, not just adding features to existing plans. This role involves end-to-end ownership, requiring a product mindset focused on user experience. The engineer will work onsite in Doha, Qatar, with visa sponsorship and relocation support available for candidates outside the country.
Working Approach
Design is done swiftly within "Claude Design," involving the operational team who use the product daily to test UI and UX before any coding begins. One or two engineers take full ownership of their product from concept through to production, without relying on technical leads, business analysts, or QA teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy AI agents and AI-powered applications on Azure AI Foundry, covering the full cycle from prototype to production.
- Engage directly with clients to understand their needs and convert them into functional products.
- Build solutions spanning the tech stack, including agents, APIs, web apps, and integrations.
- Validate AI outputs rigorously prior to release, ensuring accuracy and reliability are integral to the deployment process.
- Provide mentorship and technical support to AI interns.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Experience level varies from strong recent graduates to professionals with up to five years of relevant work.
- Proven track record of independently building and launching products, with a strong focus on user-centric design.
- Proficiency in Python and C#/.NET, with the ability to build and deploy complete applications beyond just the AI model component.
- Practical involvement with large language model applications including agents, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and tool calling; personal projects with live deployment are accepted.
- Hands-on expertise with Azure services such as AI Foundry, App Service or Container Apps, and Key Vault.
- A rigorous approach to testing AI results, treating output validation as essential as code validation, especially considering the financial domain's requirement for accuracy.
- Comfortable with full ownership of products without relying on designated teams for requirements, testing, or delivery.
- English fluency is mandatory; Arabic language skills are beneficial.
Additional Skills (Preferred)
- Familiarity with ERP or accounting datasets.
- Knowledge of microservices and cloud architecture (MCP architectures).
- Experience with Power BI.
- Understanding of multi-tenant SaaS environments.
Location and Relocation
This position is based onsite in Doha, Qatar. Applicants who currently reside within Qatar and have transferable residency are encouraged to apply. Those located abroad can receive visa sponsorship and relocation assistance from CFOAI. Candidates should prepare to have their degree certificates attested as part of the visa process if shortlisted.
