AI Engineer

Position Overview

Luxoft is seeking a highly experienced AI Engineer with over 13 years of demonstrated expertise in developing advanced AI solutions and leading technical initiatives. This role demands hands-on experience in designing and delivering scalable, enterprise-grade software, including innovative Generative AI applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and build of robust AI-powered applications using Python, Java, FastAPI, Flask, and frameworks such as FastMcp LangGraph, ADK, and Google Vertex AI.
• Design, integrate, and optimize large language models (LLM), focusing strategically on Gemini Model for advanced NLP and generative AI functionalities.
• Develop and orchestrate advanced Agentic AI systems implementing complex AI workflows using tools like ADK and LangGraph to create autonomous intelligent systems.
• Drive seamless API architecture design and integration with both internal and external systems to ensure efficient data flow across the enterprise.
• Lead deployment and management of AI solutions on cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services including Cloud Run, GKE, BigQuery, Cloud Composer, and CloudSQL for resilient infrastructure support.
• Establish and enforce code quality and AIOps governance standards, promoting clean, documented code and comprehensive test strategies for AI models in production.
• Manage continuous monitoring and deployment of AI models to guarantee optimal performance and reliability.
• Champion research into emerging AI, machine learning, and NLP techniques to translate innovations into practical applications aligned with business goals.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, data scientists, and other engineering leaders to define strategy, set priorities, and deliver impactful AI products.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Science, or related fields, or equivalent professional experience.
• Profound programming skills primarily in Java, with strong Python experience; familiarity with Scala is advantageous.
• Proven background in developing backend components including real-time reporting, batch processing, and integration with downstream systems.
• Performance tuning expertise and significant experience with high-volume data processing and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes in Java.
• Solid experience working with relational databases, especially Oracle Exadata, and knowledge of Big Data frameworks.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, ideally Scrum, and test-driven development environments.
• Competence in automated testing tools such as Rational Robot, Silktest, WinRunner, HP UFT, QuickTest Pro, RIATest, and Green Hat, including test strategy design, performance, and system testing.
• Well-versed in software versioning practices including Git Flow, defect management tools like JIRA, and stream-based processing concepts.
• Experience with GitHub Actions/Workflows, Google AI Platform, and OpenTelemetry for observability and monitoring.

Desired Experience

• Expertise with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and infrastructure as code practices.
• Practical knowledge of cloud-native architecture and orchestration tools for AI model deployments.
• Strong understanding of financial markets and investment products, with exposure to Investment Banking or Treasury sectors being highly valued.
