Job description
About the Role
We are seeking an AI Engineer to join our team remotely within the APAC region. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating end-to-end AI-native systems, including agentic workflows and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, as well as the orchestration layers that integrate these components. This role involves collaborating closely with leadership to translate business challenges into fully operational AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop multi-agent systems and agentic workflows leveraging frameworks like LangChain or LangGraph.
- Architect and implement orchestration layers to coordinate between agents, tools, and human intervention points.
- Maintain state, memory, and routing throughout long-running, complex workflows.
- Ensure system reliability by integrating retry mechanisms, fallback strategies, and robust error handling.
- Construct and refine RAG pipelines encompassing tasks such as data chunking, embedding generation, retrieval, and result re-ranking.
- Design and maintain data models and pipelines that support search, retrieval, and decision-making processes.
- Work with vector databases and structured data storage solutions.
- Integrate AI systems across multiple platforms using APIs and webhooks.
- Implement evaluation, tracing, and monitoring frameworks to observe metrics like accuracy, drift, latency, and cost.
- Design and develop systems following best practices for privacy and security to comply with data protection standards.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Background in AI, software development, or backend engineering with recent applied experience in agentic AI systems.
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- Demonstrated experience producing agent-based workflows, RAG pipelines, and orchestration solutions in production environments, especially using LangChain or LangGraph.
- Hands-on familiarity with large language model (LLM) APIs, including prompt engineering and tool integration.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, data modeling, and RESTful API design.
- Comfortable with cloud infrastructure deployment and establishing CI/CD pipelines.
- Track record of delivering AI-native applications that are actively employed by users, beyond initial prototypes.
- Excellent communication skills paired with a product-focused approach, suited to fast-paced startup environments.
- Preferably experienced in developing HR technology or go-to-market tech products.
- Knowledge of LLM evaluation and observability platforms.
- Familiarity with security frameworks applicable to software development.
