Role Overview

The AI Engineer will be instrumental in designing and delivering AI-driven enterprise solutions across diverse real-world scenarios. This position suits a professional who blends deep technical expertise with effective cross-functional collaboration, translating business requirements into strong AI functionalities while upholding quality, governance, and excellence in operational processes throughout the AI model lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, integrate, and deploy AI models and solutions including machine learning, deep learning, generative AI, and agentic AI technologies in enterprise settings.
• Evaluate AI use cases and conduct comprehensive model testing, validation, and quality assurance.
• Oversee model performance monitoring and drive ongoing enhancements during onboarding, periodic updates, reassessments, and decommissioning phases.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to model behaviors, performance drops, and system integration challenges.
• Support AI governance procedures by creating monitoring frameworks, evaluation tools, dashboards, and compliance reports.
• Work alongside platform developers to test enhancements and manage production operations.
• Document technical processes, operational guidelines, and knowledge transfer resources effectively.
• Contribute to Responsible AI assessments, model risk management, data privacy initiatives, data governance, and compliance measures.
• Engage collaboratively with business stakeholders, technical teams, client representatives, platform specialists, and governance units for coordinated AI solution delivery.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Artificial Intelligence or a related discipline.
• At least six years of professional experience in AI development, machine learning solutions execution, model evaluation, governance support, and operational deployment.
• Proficient in Python programming for AI and machine learning applications, utilizing frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
• In-depth understanding of AI model lifecycle management including performance metrics like accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score.
• Hands-on experience with model testing, validation, robustness checks, quality assessments, and monitoring of model/data drift and performance degradation in production.
• Familiar with MLOps methodologies and AI governance practices involving version control, deployment pipelines, lifecycle documentation, approval processes, risk evaluation, and compliance oversight.
• Knowledge of model risk management, adherence to data privacy and governance protocols, and implementation of Responsible AI principles such as fairness, bias mitigation, explainability, transparency, and human oversight.
• Demonstrated collaboration skills working with AI engineers, business users, integration teams, governance specialists, and client stakeholders.
• Fluency in English and Arabic; lawful eligibility to work onsite in Saudi Arabia.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with vector database technologies like Pinecone, FAISS, Chroma, or Milvus, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation frameworks including LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• Familiarity with cloud-based AI platforms such as Azure AI, AWS SageMaker, or Google Vertex AI.
• Background in regulated sectors such as banking, financial services, or government institutions.
• Capability in leading client-facing presentations and workshops.
