Job description
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced AI Algorithm Engineer fluent in Mandarin to join a global leader in consumer internet platforms. This opportunity involves developing next-generation AI systems focused on Large Language Models (LLMs), Vision Language Models (VLMs), and multimodal foundation models to power content understanding, recommendation, moderation, and automation on a massive international scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement production-grade AI systems leveraging LLMs, VLMs, and multimodal models.
- Create algorithms to interpret complex data signals including text, imagery, video, and audio content.
- Develop scalable multimodal intelligence solutions to enhance content comprehension and decision-making.
- Improve semantic parsing, classification, retrieval, and reasoning functions across diverse content types.
- Build and deploy agent-based AI systems featuring technologies such as ReAct, PlanAct, CodeAct, function calling, multi-agent coordination, context engineering, memory management, MCP, and A2A architectures.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of foundation model training including pre-training, supervised fine-tuning, reinforcement learning, and post-training optimization.
- Design evaluation and benchmarking processes for models and agent frameworks.
- Research and integrate cutting-edge advancements in LLMs, VLMs, agentic AI, and multimodal learning into scalable production environments.
- Provide technical leadership in AI architecture, best practices, and contribute to scholarly publications at leading AI conferences.
Candidate Requirements
- Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Mathematics, or related fields.
- 3 to 5+ years of professional experience in relevant AI research and production environments.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Large Language Models, Vision Language Models, multimodal foundation models, and agentic AI systems.
- Practical expertise in prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agent evaluation frameworks, and modern agent architectures including ReAct, PlanAct, CodeAct, multi-agent systems, context and memory management, function calling, MCP, and A2A.
- Familiarity with supervised fine-tuning (SFT), reinforcement learning with human feedback (RLHF), post-training techniques, reward modeling, and reinforcement learning infrastructure such as CodeRL.
- Strong software engineering capabilities to translate research into scalable, production AI systems.
- Fluency in professional Mandarin is essential for collaboration with teams based in China.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience deploying Vision Language Models or multimodal foundation models at scale.
- Built agent systems for real-world production use with significant user impact.
- Background working with recommendation engines, search, content understanding, trust and safety, or content moderation.
- Experience with large-scale model training and post-training optimization.
- Published research in top-tier AI conferences such as NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, CVPR, ICCV, ACL, EMNLP, or KDD.
