The Technology Strategy & Transformation (TS&T) group partners closely with business leaders and digital/IT decision-makers to deliver trusted advisory services. Our focus is helping organisations refine their technology landscape, establish strategic technology goals, and guide them through transformative business journeys. Operating across diverse industries, we aim to enhance efficiency and competitive edge through technology, often acting as an extension of client leadership teams.
Role Overview
We seek a skilled Manager to join our TS&T team in Auckland, serving in a client-facing consultancy capacity. The role is advisory-centric, involving structured problem-solving, engaging stakeholders, and offering actionable recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide executive and senior leadership in crafting technology strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Design and implement operating models for technology, transformation, and digital departments.
- Lead requirements gathering and evaluate options for new business applications or capabilities.
- Manage technology procurement and commercial aspects including market analysis and vendor assessments.
- Provide enterprise architecture advice including system rationalization and scalability planning.
- Develop transformation programs encompassing business cases, delivery approaches, value realization strategies, and governance support.
- Oversee advisory engagements including resource management, budgeting, scope, and deliverables.
- Deliver leadership and mentorship within teams.
- Drive business development and sales efforts.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum six years of consulting, advisory, or relevant industry experience, ideally with exposure to structured problem-solving and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience collaborating with senior stakeholders such as senior leadership teams or boards to influence and align on technology priorities.
- Solid understanding of core technology concepts and enterprise architecture, including current trends like mobility, cloud, and digital technologies.
- Knowledge of technology service structures, including IT operations and ITIL/ITSM practices.
- Familiarity with enterprise systems (ERP, HRIS, FMIS, CRM, BI) and ability to evaluate their suitability.
- Competence in navigating and resolving ambiguous issues through logical structuring and persuasive communication, including presenting to executive forums.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to translate complex technical ideas into clear business advice and build enduring relationships.
- Experience facilitating workshops to achieve alignment, decision-making, and investment consensus among diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success in business development and leadership roles focused on quality outcome delivery.
