Position Summary
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Services, the Advisor manages the determination of student eligibility to graduate each semester and oversees the professional organization and execution of graduation ceremonies. This role is part of the Student Assist team, providing accurate guidance and support to students regarding their academic programs and progression.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain strong collaborative relationships across the university to facilitate graduation processes.
- Efficiently organize and deliver graduation ceremonies each semester.
- Offer timely, accurate information to commencing and continuing students on their study programs, progression, and completion requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Completion of a degree-level qualification combined with a minimum of three years relevant professional experience or equivalent education and experience.
- Proficient technological skills including use of Student Management Systems (Student One or similar), Customer Relationship Management systems, and Microsoft Office products.
- Knowledge of legislative frameworks relevant to higher education such as HESA, ESOS, CRICOS, and understanding of university degree structures and academic processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills applicable to diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to develop and improve business processes and procedures ensuring ongoing enhancements.
- Excellent organizational and time management capabilities to prioritize workloads effectively in a busy setting.
- Superior customer service aptitude handling large query volumes and problem-solving to deliver quality outcomes.
- Demonstrated capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, changing environments.
Additional Information
The full-time position requires 36.75 hours per week and offers a starting annual salary of $85707.07 plus 12% superannuation. Pre-employment screening includes confirmation of work rights, reference checks, qualification verification, and completion of a Gender-Based Violence declaration as part of compliance with national higher education codes. Employment conditions fall under the Bond Workplace Agreement.
