  • Contribute to maintaining the store’s appearance and assisting other team members.
  • Support inventory organization and ensure product availability for members.
  • Promote MEC events and member services.
  • Continuously learn about new products, technologies, and sustainability initiatives.

Desired Qualifications and Attributes

  • Enthusiasm for working with a diverse, inclusive, and collaborative team environment.
  • Strong passion for outdoor activities; familiarity with camping, cycling, or backpacking gear is highly valuable.

  • Possess personal integrity, customer focus, teamwork skills, and the ability to support personal and team growth.
  • Friendly, approachable demeanor with genuine intent to assist others.
  • Customer-centric mindset focused on delivering excellent service.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and comfortably walk 10,000 steps daily.
  • Previous experience in retail or customer service is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Curious about outdoor gear with a desire to learn; training will be provided.
  • Open availability to work weekend shifts and flexible hours during weekdays between 7:00 am and 9:00 pm.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive hourly wages ranging from $19.18 to $19.89, scaled based on experience and qualifications.
  • Employee discounts on a wide range of outdoor equipment including bikes.
  • Access to extended health and dental insurance for employees and eligible family members (dependent on employment status).
  • Paid time off annually to engage in an outdoor activity of your choice.
  • Opportunities to participate in staff outdoor excursions.
