Role Overview

We invite applications for the position of Advanced Skills Radiographer based in Toowoomba within the Darling Downs region. This full-time role involves delivering high-level medical imaging services, specializing in MRI, within a multidisciplinary team setting under the guidance of the Toowoomba Region MRI in Charge Radiographer and alongside other practice Radiographers in Charge. Your duties will include coordinating and improving MRI services and protocols, supporting appointment and billing processes, and ensuring strict adherence to MRI safety policies and implant compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support MRI education, training, and mentoring efforts.
• Collaborate to develop, maintain, and optimize MRI imaging protocols.
• Coordinate with administrative staff to manage billing and clinical scheduling effectively.
• Maintain and enforce stringent MRI safety standards and implant safety procedures.
• Utilize clinical judgment with advanced skills to prioritize and organize a complex caseload.
• Exemplify and promote exceptional patient care, compassion, and clinical awareness.
• Demonstrate accountability and initiative in clinical responsibilities and foster a culture dedicated to service excellence.
• Work cooperatively within a team promoting a supportive approach to problem-solving and patient-centered care.
• Offer advanced clinical advice and guidance to patients and healthcare professionals.
• Engage in continuous professional development and sharing of advanced MRI practice expertise.
• Participate in quality and service improvement initiatives aligned with organizational objectives.
• Provide education, competency training, and mentorship to enhance team skills and capabilities.
• Serve as a resource for specialized clinical consultation and, when required, perform higher duties during senior absence.
• Adhere to all Queensland X-Ray quality and safety policies and promptly report equipment issues.

Candidate Profile

• Possession of Level 1 ASMIRT MRI certification is mandatory.
• Demonstrated advanced theoretical understanding and practical experience in MRI acquired through extensive professional development, postgraduate education, or formal qualifications.
• Prior experience with Siemens MRI systems is preferred.
