Key Responsibilities

• Travel to various sites using specialized company equipment to detect and mark underground utilities and infrastructure accurately, including abandoned or unusual facilities.
• Utilize keen observational skills, problem-solving, and deductive reasoning to ensure safe and precise locating operations.
• Contribute to building Blood Hound’s reputation by consistently delivering reliable and professional results.
• Engage professionally with job site contacts and customers to facilitate smooth and safe locating procedures.
• Maintain courteous and clear communication with coworkers and clients in the field.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of two years' experience as a public or private utility locator, with a proven record of accuracy and professionalism; experience with engineering or subsurface utility engineering (SUE) firms is advantageous.
• Proficiency locating diverse types of utilities across varying environments.
• Strong communication skills coupled with excellent customer service aptitude.
• Comfort with technology, including Windows OS and Microsoft Office applications, plus willingness to learn new tools and techniques.

• Ability to independently manage workloads and provide high-quality service.
• Flexibility to travel daily to job sites, work overtime and outside standard hours as business demands, including occasional overnight travel.
• Ability to pass a fit-for-duty physical examination.
