Role Overview

We are currently inviting applications for motivated Adult Support Workers to join our Limerick Adult Services team, operating from the Limerick City Hub. Both full-time and part-time permanent contracts are available, with hours tailored accordingly. The salary offered ranges from €35,070 to €42,440 per annum on a pro-rata basis, with adjustments for long service increments and anticipated enhancements reflecting the 2026 WRC agreement for Section 39 organisations.

Annual leave entitlement stands at 30 days per year pro-rata.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized support to adults within day services and private homes.
• Assist with personal care and mobility needs.
• Support service users in accessing community services and participating in virtual day services.
• Promote opportunities for training, employment, and social inclusion tailored to individual needs.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Hold QQI Level 5 Care Skills qualification including a module on special needs or equivalent.
• Possess a minimum of one year experience working specifically with adults who have Autism.
• Maintain a full, clean driver's license without restrictions, with a willingness to drive Enable Ireland vehicles.
• Be eligible to work legally in Ireland.
• Exhibit effective communication and accurate record-keeping skills.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the social model of disability.
• Have an understanding of adult protection protocols and lone working.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Experience within adult day service environments.
• Community-based work experience.
• Familiarity with person-centred planning and Key Worker systems.
• Knowledge of New Directions guidelines.
