Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, energetic, and compassionate Activities Assistant to contribute to the well-being and engagement of our residents. This entry-level, full-time role invites candidates to play a central part in planning and leading meaningful social, physical, and mental programs tailored to our seniors.
Key Duties
- Develop and deliver a variety of activities addressing residents' interests and supporting their mental, physical, and emotional health.
- Instruct, motivate, and guide residents individually and in groups, fostering involvement and enthusiasm.
- Encourage community participation and volunteer service in a manner that respects each resident's choices.
Candidate Requirements
- Earnest interest in serving senior residents, including those with cognitive or memory challenges.
- Personal traits such as flexibility, patience, and creativity.
- Ability to plan, organize, and work independently.
- Confidence and vigor when leading and directing activities among diverse groups.
- Proficient verbal and written English communication skills.
Additional Information and Benefits
- No prior experience required; on-the-job training is provided.
- Starting wage is $16.50 per hour.
