Their business portfolio includes Precinct Flex, a leader in coworking spaces, the Commercial Bay Retail Centre, third-party capital partnerships, and a number of residential development projects in Auckland. Recently, the company has broadened its strategy to encompass retail, hospitality, tourism, and residential developments.

Role Overview

The Accounts Payable Administrator will operate within the Finance department, tasked with managing invoice processing and payments from a diverse array of suppliers. This role requires strict adherence to Delegated Authority standards to maintain accuracy and compliance. The candidate will collaborate closely with both internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure the smooth operation of the accounts payable functions across Precinct, its subsidiaries, and related investment entities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter and process invoices accurately and promptly within the Esker system.
  • Manage full cycle invoice processing and payments covering areas such as construction, rates, utilities, marketing, and other business expenses.
  • Ensure invoices eligible for prompt payment discounts are settled within designated timeframes.
  • Identify and resolve invoices that have been placed on hold.
  • Maintain and update vendor records.
  • Handle supplier inquiries and perform account reconciliations.
  • Support payment runs and wider accounts payable administrative tasks.
  • Confirm capex invoices include valid project codes.

Required Skills and Experience

  • At least two years of experience in a comparable accounts payable position.
  • Proficiency with Esker software is highly favored.
  • Experience working in a large organization with multiple entities.
  • Background in the property industry is advantageous.
  • Strong communication abilities and stakeholder management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail coupled with proactive problem-solving.
  • Effective planning, prioritization skills, and remaining composed under pressure.
