About the Role
We are seeking a meticulous and skilled Accounts Officer with 3 to 5 years of professional experience primarily within FMCG, manufacturing, or distribution sectors. The position is based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, and involves comprehensive accounting responsibilities aligned with SAP operations and statutory requirements.
Key Duties
- Manage daily accounting activities, ensuring precise entry of transactions into SAP.
- Oversee General Ledger, as well as vendor and customer accounts, processing purchase and expense invoices, and verifying documentation such as PO/GRN.
- Execute accurate ledger entries including journal entries, accruals, and provisions, aiding timely month-end closures.
- Handle accounts payable by processing vendor invoices, reconciling ledgers, and ensuring payments through NEFT/RTGS.
- Maintain accounts receivable through receipt accounting, ledger management, reconciliation, and coordination with sales teams for collections.
- Ensure GST and TDS compliance by checking tax applicability, performing reconciliations, preparing returns, and supporting audits.
- Conduct regular bank and control account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Coordinate inventory-related accounting with stores and purchase departments, supporting stock verification and cost reconciliations.
- Prepare detailed monthly MIS reports covering financial metrics such as receivables, payables, inventory, and cash status.
- Assist in audits and uphold internal controls by furnishing necessary documentation and ensuring adherence to company policies.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on accounting experience in relevant sectors like FMCG or manufacturing.
- Strong practical expertise with SAP, preferably SAP FI/FICO modules.
- Solid understanding of Indian GST, TDS regulations, and overall accounting norms.
- Proficient in managing AP, AR, GL, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Educational qualification includes B.Com, M.Com, MBA (Finance), or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Excel and experience with timely statutory compliance are essential.
